We will be making a magazine for our Photo 2 class. Each student will get a two page spread. Your two pages can be about any thing we have done in class this semester or anything you have done in your life. The photos either have to be of you or photos you have taken!
The website we will be using to publish our magazine is called ISSUU. It's a free site for sharing digital media.

Here are the requirements
Pages should be 11" high by 8.5" wide
- the two pages together will be 11" high by 17" wide
Each page has to have at least one photo.
You need at least four photos total.
You must include four paragraphs of writing.
A paragraph should have at least three to four sentences.Text should relate to the photo some how.
Your Writing
Create a quarter inch border around your entire page using the rulers. This will ensure your text does not run off the page or get cut off in printing.
Start your writing with text that is bigger and a different font than the main body of text. This is called a Heading.
Make your Heading the same color as something in your photo. This helps connect the two together.
Choose a color for text that is easily readable.
Type first in Microsoft word, spell check, then past into your page.
Have someone read your writing before finalizing your page.
Your Photos
Photos can go all the way to the edges, or over the edge of your page. This is referred to as Print Bleed.
Use the rulers to help align content. Alignment is an adjustment to a line; arrangement in a straight line.
Look at other magazines!!! How have they included photos into their pages? Its amazing how much an example can help us.
